Clemens Manor
R&D Construction Management, LLC was involved in this project from its inception and assisted in accessing block grant funding for the final piece of project financing and historic tax credits.
The former YMCA building in the City of Elmira had been abandoned for ten years. Three different developers unsuccessfully attempted to bring this landmark back to life. Sam Iraci, Elmira’s City Manager, gave R&D CMS a fourth, and what would have been last, attempt at developing the site.
R&D CMS converted the 40,000 square foot building into a thirty unit, independent senior housing facility at a project cost of $4.5 million. This facility is located in the heart of downtown Elmira; this once visible eyesore is now one of its most highly publicized success stories.
